Around 2005, after having blown out several accounts and after several demoralizing losses, it became clear that knowledge of the markets alone could not ensure success in the financial markets. I would go on streaks where I would profit on literally dozens upon dozens of trades in a row and then lose everything I had earned in two or three trades. I wasn’t using proper money management strategies and was trading emotionally, rather than with a trader’s mindset. I vowed to learn all I could on these more intangible aspects of trading financial markets and got a mentor who showed me how to trade with a business mindset rather than as a gambler. I started to implement these more disciplined systems and started to turn consistent profits for the first time in my trading career.

In 2019, I discovered digital currency. I needed to complete my continuing legal education credits for my bar association and the law society was offering a new program, Blockchain, Smart Contracts and the Law. I thought this would be an interesting program. I could never have imagined the whirlwind of a storm it would create in my life. I became fascinated with every aspect of the new digital value system from the technology powering it to the new legal ramifications of the technology and value system to investing and trading it. I began to take every blockchain certification I could and enrolled in a Masters program in Blockchain and Digital currency. Of course, I bought my first stash of Bitcoin and Ethereum during this time period and began actively trading crypto in addition to foreign exchange using all of the knowledge I had amassed during the past 20 years trading forex.

With lots of hours spent learning and exploring, 2021 marked the beginning of my exploration of decentralized finance. I began to take part in some of the more prominent DeFi activities such as lending and borrowing on a variety of DeFi protocols, establishing accounts at centralized exchanges as well as connections with decentralized exchanges. I also began to stake crypto for profit.

Since completing my Master of Science in Blockchain and Digital Currency in 2022, I’ve transitioned from DeFi exploration to refined, high-level strategy implementation. I’ve optimized yield farming, liquidity provision, and staking while integrating on-chain analytics and smart contract risk assessment.

My focus has been on maximizing returns through strategic capital deployment across various DeFi protocols, all while prioritizing security and risk management. Recently, I’ve begun exploring the intersection of AI and DeFi, leveraging machine learning for enhanced portfolio strategies.
